so i've always thought of the fair as an overpriced, greasy, germfest and i think i've been once in my life...and i still think this. however, when jesse suggested we take sarah to see the animals i agreed to go. she's really started putting animals together with the sounds they make so i thought she might get something out of it. and you can get much closer to the animals at the fair than you can at the zoo. sarah loved it! we walked into a barn filled with "moooooooo" cows and then went to the petting zoo. i didn't really think she would want to get close enough to pet them, but she sure did. in true fair fashion we also ate some fair food (i'm embarrassed to even tell you what she's eating in the picture above). thank goodness that's all she ate and was happy snacking on her baked whole grain goldfish that i brought from home. and of course we played one overpriced game...which i actually won so sarah got this lovely $5.00 doggy.
